Values and virtues are not hereditary, they are acquired. We acquire traditional values from our elders. Our tradition is to give due respect to women, parents, grandparents and teachers. The guests are also worthy of our respect.
Moral values make us human in the true sense of the word. It is essential for every human being to develop the equality of considerateness, kindness and compassion.
We can acquire spiritual values from our saints. Spiritual values create spiritual power.
If value education is a part of the curriculum in schools, our children can learn the above values easily. And thus we can make them real human beings.
My school has taken some steps in this direction. The zero period is devoted to value education upto Class 8. The language teachers teach the zero period.
It is the tradition of our school that Principal and other teachers highlight the importance of value education in the school morning assembly.
Our school creates opportunity for us to listen to the speeches of the saints of all religions.
